Classic Mosel Kabinett from the famous Piesporter Michelsberg, mainly Riesling with a touch of Müller-Thurgau. Gently sweet, with fresh green apple and citrus and hints of white peach and pear. Perfect as an aperitif or with salads, white meat and light Asian dishes such as Thai lemon fish or vegetable spring rolls.
Winemaker's Notes
Peter Mertes was founded in 1924 by Peter Mertes and has been based since 1969 in Bernkastel-Kues, a thousand-year-old town on the Mosel. Four generations later, the family house has become one of Germany's largest wine producers, exporting to some 70 countries. Piesporter Michelsberg is the famous wine area around the village of Piesport, in the heart of the Mosel valley.
