Château Sénéjac is a 41-hectare Bordeaux estate at the southern tip of the Haut-Médoc appellation, in the commune of Le Pian-Médoc, planted on gravelly soils with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Vines have grown here since as early as the 16th century. The de Guigne family owned the estate from 1860 until 1999, when it was acquired by Lorraine Cordier of Château Talbot in Saint-Julien and her husband Thierry Rustmann; today it is run by Lorraine's sister, Nancy Bignon Cordier. The wine is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation in barrel, then aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak, a third of it new.
